Viridian Nutrition’s Organic Omega Oil appears on Trust Me I’m a Doctor

Viridian Nutrition’s 100% Organic Omega 3:6:9 Oil was shown in the BBC’s Trust Me I’m a Doctor show this week.

Viridian’s nutritional oil was among a number of brands displayed to coincide with a discussion on omega 3 presented by Dr Chris van Tulleken.

The programme looked at omega 3 supplements and measured levels of DHA and EPA (the key omega-3 fatty acids) and pricing structures of brands.

Sixty volunteers were also tested for their EPA and DHA levels after taking either supplements, oily fish or a placebo. All participants’ had their omega 3 index measured before and after the trial.

Following the experiment, there was a marked rise in EPA and DHA levels in those participants taking both supplements and oily fish, although supplements showed the highest rise.

The show also recommended to viewers when buying fish oil supplements to look for companies with accreditation – those who seek accreditation are likely to have robust quality controls in place.

Both Viridian Nutrition’s 100% Organic Omega 3:6:9 Oil and 100% Organic Scandinavian Rainbow Trout Oil are certified organic by the Soil Association.
