International Business Development Manager

REPORTING TO: Managing Director

RESPONSIBLE FOR STAFF: none, but will share the support services of Sales Administrator with the Sales Director

LOCATION: Working from home, and internationally. Desk provided at HQ as necessary.

SUMMARY & OBJECTIVES:
Working with the Managing Director to plan and implement a strategy for international business growth. Building sales through education in product knowledge, sales expertise, marketing support and by setting expectations.

MAIN DUTIES
Visiting international customers to set goals and monitor achievements.
Educating international distributors predominantly face to face.
Identifying and recruiting new international distributors.
Negotiating contractual arrangements with each distributor.
Strategically drive business while considering many factors such as market size, saturation, awareness, GDP etc.
Liaise with the UK Department of International Trade representative where appropriate
Attend and exhibit international trade shows to generate leads.
Manage the process from first contact through registration to distribution.
Liaise with marketing to ensure brand management worldwide.
Commercial responsibility includes all aspects of budgeting, planning, forecasting, sales and profitability.
Conduct proactive analysis and reviews of performance and results
Managing workload to meet schedules.
Other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in high-level sales, key account management and international development.
Qualifications in sales / training / coaching.
Experienced with Microsoft Office and other IT sales tools.

HIGHLY REGARDED EXPERIENCE
Management.
A good understanding of international registration requirements.
Full, clean, driving licence is essential.
Up to date valid passport is essential.

Self-motivated with a “can do” attitude.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Exceptional time management skills.
Ability to adapt to new tasks assigned.

Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyse and interpret general periodicals, professional journals and industry regulations. Talented in the written word, grammatically and creatively.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Creative Flair: Ability to imagine, demonstrate and manifest ideas into finished items.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and to interpret a variety of information furnished in written and oral form.
