What is Magnesium Bisglycinate good for?


Magnesium bisglycinate supports recovery from tiredness and fatigue, while supporting the normal functioning of the nervous system and muscle function.


Where does Viridian’s Magnesium Bisglycinate come from?


Magnesium Bisglycinate is magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine, enabling optimal absorption and utilisation by the body. This bioavailable form of magnesium is gentle on the digestive system, providing 160mg of magnesium per capsule.


The formula strictly does not contain additives, bulking agents or binders of any type. Therefore, the formula provides 100% nutrition. The ingredients are sourced according to Viridian’s strict ethical criteria including no animal testing, GMO or palm oil.


How long will it take for the supplement to work?


We recommend that you use the Magnesium Bisglycinate for 4-6 weeks and monitor the symptoms that prompted you to use the food supplement. Once symptoms subside you may be able to reduce or stop the food supplement all being that you are receiving a sufficient magnesium intake from your diet.


When during the day should I take Magnesium Bisglycinate?


It is best to take Magnesium Bisglycinate with food, ideally with the evening meal.


How long can I take Magnesium Bisglycinate?


Magnesium Bisglycinate is a well-tolerated form of magnesium and can be used without worry. However, Viridian Nutrition has a food first approach, and should your diet provide a good amount of magnesium it may be that over time, once your intake is replete, you do not need a full dose of the food supplement.


What’s the best way to take the supplement?


It is best to take Magnesium Bisglycinate with food, ideally with the evening meal. If you are prescribed medication, please discuss the potential supplementation with your healthcare professional.


Can I take too much?


Please use the recommended dose of 1-2 capsules daily taken with food. This is a safe and effective daily dose for both magnesium and glycine.


Are there any chemicals in Magnesium Bisglycinate?


Magnesium Bisglycinate is the joining of magnesium to the amino acid glycine. This food supplement is free from chemicals and in line with the Viridian Nutrition’s ethical philosophy, free from any form of additive or non-nutritive compound and contains 100% active ingredients.


At what age can the supplement be taken?


The Magnesium Bisglycinate can be consumed from the age of 6 years and onwards. For young children, an alternative way to taking the supplement is to open the capsules and mix the contents into a pot of yogurt, mashed banana or a smoothie.


How should I store the supplement?


Magnesium Bisglycinate should be stored in a cool, dark location, approx. 8-15C and away from any source of humidity or steam.


Is it suitable for vegans?


The Magnesium Bisglycinate formula is suitable for those following a vegan or vegetarian diet.


Can I take the supplement during pregnancy?
