Malic acid is found in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, but the richest source is found in apples. Indeed, the word ‘malic’ is derived from the Latin ‘mālum’ meaning ‘apple’. The more sour the apple, the higher the malic acid content. It was first discovered in apple juice in 1785 by the German pharmceutical chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele.

Each vegan capsule contains 550mg of malic acid.
